When it comes to home decor — there’s no better combination (in our opinion) than prints and plants. Even better — plants on prints. Either way, when combined, fresh foliage and joyful photographs are our go-to way to add happiness to our homes. Our logo IS a leaf, you know! Now that it’s Spring, we wanted to run through some of our favorite low-maintenance plants that pair perfectly with photo prints. Green thumb or not, we’ve got you covered. Keep reading for our tips to caring for 6 hard-to-kill houseplants.
1. Pothos
Pothos are one of our favorite plants to decorate with because they’re so versatile! You can hang them, let them dangle from a shelf, or place them directly on a table. We love how @relevantraw paired theirs next to a giant Engineer Print!
2. Snake Plant
Snake Plants make amazing house plants for so many reasons — they thrive in most light conditions, forgive you if you forget to water, and make the perfect floor plant. @michellemartelathome placed hers in her entryway next to this beautiful Engineer Print template.
3. Spider Plant
Spider Plants are the plants that keep on giving! Not only are they super forgiving and easy to care for, but they produce mini plantlets that can be snipped, rooted in water, and propagated into an entirely new plant.
4. Aloe Vera
Aloe Veras are known for their hardiness and will thrive in the sun. Bonus points: the gel from their leaves can help soothe the skin and even nourish your hair!
5. Monstera Deliciosa
Monsteras are known for their natural leaf holes which deemed them their nickname “the swiss cheese plant.” They’re super lush and grow outwards making them a fantastic floor plant when you need to fill up space under, say, a photo print.
6. Cactus
Cacti are tried and true plants for those of us who tend to be forgetful or simply lack a green thumb. The majority of succulents love to bake in the sun and only need a limited amount of water, so they’re quick to forgive you on the weeks you forget. Plus, they’re super cute!
